| | Description: This course provides the student with a historical overview of the profession, the
foundational concepts of occupational therapy (OT) - process and theory, basic
health care concepts, wellness and prevention, legal and ethical considerations, an
understanding of the role of the OTA, and basic documentation. This course is intended
to provide students interested in the OTA program of study with an introduction to the
profession. This course including interactive opportunities to obtain a feeling for the
profession to determine if the practice of OT is the right professional fit.
